What You Need to Know Before You Board with Us

Before you board your pet with us, there are a few things that you need to do.

Vaccines: Pets must be up-to-date on all vaccines including DHPP, rabies, parvo, and bordetella. If they have expired, ensure that the vaccinations are redone a minimum of two weeks prior to your trip to ensure that any side effects are monitored before boarding and that the vaccine has had time to take effect.

You must provide proof from your veterinarian confirming that your dog has had these vaccines for us to keep on file. If you cannot find the paperwork, ask your veterinarian to email proof.

What to Bring:

  • Proof of Vaccines
  • Blanket, Rug, or Other Items Familiar to Your Pet That Will Make Him or Her Feel More Comfortable
  • Food for Your Pet (bring more than enough food for your pet’s stay, just in case your vacation gets prolonged).
  • Toys or Other Chew Items, if Needed
  • Treats (please make sure they have had these before and no bowel issues have occurred)

Medications: If your dog is on any special medications, please bring them with details of medication name, reason for needing it, dosage amounts and timing. It is also a good idea to let the staff know how you give the medication at home, so that the dog will be more comfortable.

At Stonehedge Boarding Kennel, we are willing to go beyond our normal services for you. We can perform additional services that will make your dog’s stay even more enjoyable and provide you with convenience and peace of mind.
